Every piece of slate is an original - no two are alike. A fine-grained metamorphic stone formed from clay, sediments, shale and sometimes quartz, slate comes in a range of porosity, hardness and textures. Heavy, rough and pitted slate textures create a more rustic feel, while smooth slate appears more polished. Available in a variety of blacks, grays, greens and purples, slate offers versatile applications for both interiors and exteriors. Its slip-resistant durability withstands repeat foot traffic, making slate an ideal choice for flooring applications. Truly one of a kind, each piece of slate is a study in natural beauty and variation.
